Splash! Bang! Pop!

Splash! Bang! , acrylics on linen.

I finished this piece yesterday.

The final thing after all the paint, was to remove the taping. I was a little nervous about the outcome when I began peeling the tape off, but after some carefull work I had exactly what I wanted on the canvas.

This piece is done, but in a way it is still unfinished. I am going to make another painting that is going to work together with this one and make the piece complete.

The one I’m working on now is going to be important for the message. A thing that I don’t want to explain too much. I think that explaining the idea behind the work would in a way spoil it , because there would be no room left for your imagination after explaining it and breaking it down.

What you see is what you get?? What you see is what you don’t get??

To the pictures. The one on the bottom is more of my style.

Painting, W.I.P

This piece is running under the name Splash! Bang! for now.

The process is a bit slow since I have to give the paint some time to dry before adding more.

I should be finished with this one next week.

Some pictures explain more.

Close up

Ready for paint

Last friday I had some help and got a lot of work done.

I will explain the progress in detail on the W.I.P section later.

It was a damn hot day, and that is why my beautiful assistant is topless.

The pictures, now.

Flowers and a Phoenix

Sculpture, W.I.P

Today my teacher asked if I am going to have some text in my blog. I said “no”, mostly pictures.

The reason he asked I think, is because they want me to explain why I’m doing what I’m doing and where do I get the ideas from. I also think they want me to explain the process of each work in detail.

Now why did I start to make a big ass Phoenix bird today?? Because I had the idea yeasterday, nothing more to it. I had the idea and I tought it would be cool to see how it would look like.

Now why did I do paper flowers?? Because I had some free time and I decided I could so something fun with paper, nothing more to it, or there is but I just don’t want to say it.

I think I’ll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.

And below is the stage I have the Phoenix in.
